Products | Lynx Rifles | TD 15
The TD 15 Rifle is a straight-pull rifle with a removable synthetic buttstock. The fixed barrel guarantees accuracy and performance. The barrel and action are blued and the synthetic stock is very resistant to bad weather. Available with Black Synthetic Stock with Black Action, Blaze Orange Synthetic Stock with Silver Action or Walnut Stock with Black Action.
Quick detachable stock, reduces the length to approximatley 81cm (32"), allowing the rifle to be fitted into a short case for transport. The Lynx TD features the trigger safety of the Lynx 94 MIL rifle. This safety locks the bolt, disengages the trigger and withdraws and blocks the firing pin. Once applied the shooter can forget about it until the time comes to take the shot. There is no possibility of forgetting it as the trigger contacts the edge in the firing position and the safety can be easily and silently moved to off at the last moment.
The Ergal 7075 Action is an aluminium alloy, with zinc as the primary alloying element. It is strong, with a strength comparable to many steels. 7075 aluminium alloy’s composition includes zinc, magnesium, copper, silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, and other metals.
The Action is a solid milled block of 7075 Ergal. Ergal 7075 is an aluminium alloy, with zinc as the primary alloying element. It is strong and very lightweight, with a strength comparable to many steels, and has good fatigue strength and average machinability, but has less resistance to corrosion than many other Al alloys.
7075 aluminum alloy's composition roughly includes 5.6 - 6.1% zinc, 2.1 - 2.5% magnesium, 1.2 - 1.6% copper, and less than half a percent of silicon, iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, and other metals. The first 7075 was developed in secret by a Japanese company, Sumitomo Metal, in 1936, then 7075 was used for the Mitsubishi A6M Zero fighter's air frame for the Imperial Japanese Navy starting in 1940.
The Lynx TD 15 features a simple but extremely effective 3 stage safety mechanism. Located next to the trigger is a safety switch, which when is set to safe it dis-engages the firing pin, making it totally safe, even if it's accidently dropped.
The Lynx TD 15 allows you remove your stock from the rifle with a supplied wrench. This is a welcome feature which gives you the option to take it down and transport in a smaller case.
